Overview
Conference sign-up used to mean a scramble of forms and emails. This app opens at a set time for every family at once: the page counts down and unlocks in place by the server clock, so nobody gains by refreshing.
Each teacher’s schedule is held by its own live object in the cloud, so two families can never take the same slot, and the registrar runs the event from one console.
What it does
- Timed opening with a countdown that unlocks the page in place
- Email sign-in for parents, with each child’s teachers listed together
- One live schedule per teacher, so slots can never be double-booked
- Registrar console: course status, opening waves, reports with CSV export, and a readiness checklist
- Mail sent through a queue, only when a person presses a button
- Stress-tested before each opening; personal details never stored in the cloud database
